The seaEQ 10×100 mounting kit for WP dock fenders contains the fastening components required to install one seaEQ WP Wall-Performer on a suitable dock or wall structure.
Each kit includes five 10 × 100 mm hexagon head wood screws complying with DIN 571 and five heavy-duty washers complying with DIN 7349. All components are made from corrosion-resistant A4 stainless steel.
One mounting kit contains the specified fastening components for one seaEQ WP Wall-Performer.
Suitable Fastening Components for seaEQ WP Wall-Performers
The seaEQ 10×100 mounting kit is designed for securing seaEQ WP Wall-Performers and is suitable for the following models:
- seaEQ WP 60-50-30
- seaEQ WP 90-50-30
The WP dock fender is secured through the designated mounting points on its upper mounting rail and rear fixing tabs.
The heavy-duty washers complying with DIN 7349 provide a larger bearing surface, helping to distribute the clamping force of the screw heads across a greater area at the mounting points.
When Should You Choose the 10×100 Mounting Kit?
The seaEQ 10×100 mounting kit is intended for installation situations where a screw length of 100 mm is required or advantageous due to the construction of the existing mounting structure.
Compared with the seaEQ 10×80 mounting kit, this version provides an additional 20 mm of screw length.
The appropriate screw length depends on the material thickness, structural design and condition of the mounting substrate.
A4 Stainless Steel – Corrosion Resistance in Marine Environments
Both the screws and washers are made from A4 stainless steel. This material offers high corrosion resistance and is particularly suitable for fastening applications in marine environments.
A4 stainless steel also provides high resistance in conditions involving regular exposure to moisture and salt-laden air. The specific conditions of use must nevertheless be taken into account.
Installation on Wooden Docks and Timber Structures
The 10 × 100 mm hexagon head wood screws complying with DIN 571 can be used to secure a seaEQ WP Wall-Performer to suitable timber structures.
For installation in wood, we recommend pre-drilling a pilot hole of approximately 7 mm diameter.
The thickness, construction and condition of the existing timber must be suitable for securely supporting the fastening.
Installation on Concrete
For installing a seaEQ WP Wall-Performer on suitable concrete, we recommend using Fischer SX 12 × 80 wall plugs in combination with the 10 × 100 mm screws, provided that the combination complies with the manufacturer's installation specifications.
A 12 mm masonry drill bit is required for these wall plugs.
The drill hole must be prepared in accordance with the wall plug manufacturer's installation instructions and thoroughly cleaned of drilling dust before inserting the wall plug.
Important: Fischer SX 12 × 80 wall plugs are not included in the seaEQ mounting kit and must be purchased separately if required. The suitability of the screw and wall plug combination must be checked against the manufacturer's specifications, taking into account the screw length, thickness of the WP mounting components and required anchoring depth.
