seaEQ Dock Fender DF 40/10: Compact Protection for Your Berth
The seaEQ Dock Fender (DF 40/10) is the compact solution to protect your boat from hard edges on docks, fingers, or pontoons during docking. With a damper length of 40 cm, it is perfect for short dock sections or as a targeted addition to longer systems.
The seaEQ Principle: Gliding instead of Braking.
Unlike conventional rubber profiles that stop the boat abruptly, the DF 40/10 allows the hull to glide. The robust synthetic fiber surface ensures that your boat remains steerable upon contact and does not sheer off uncontrollably. This protects the hull and your nerves.
Why this Dock Fender is better than old tires
- Controlled Docking: The boat glides along the surface instead of being stopped abruptly.
- Extremely Robust: Closed-cell PE foam core (does not absorb water) with a tear-resistant outer skin.
- Easy Mounting: The integrated PVC backplate is prepared for screwing onto wood, concrete, or metal.
- Modular: Perfectly combinable with longer versions of the DF series.
- Made in Germany: Durable quality for tough harbor use.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about the Dock Fender DF 40/10
How is the fender attached?
The fender has a sturdy PVC backplate. This is simply screwed through. We offer optional mounting kits for various surfaces, but you can also use standard screws (V4A recommended).
Does the fender soak up water?
No. The core consists of closed-cell polyethylene foam. It does not absorb water, even if the outer skin is damaged.
Can I bend the fender around a corner?
No, the DF series is rigid. For corners, we recommend our special Corner Fenders or flexible Mat Fenders.
