Heavy-Duty Dock and Wall Fender for Demanding Berths

The seaEQ Wall-Performer WP 60-50-30 is a permanently mounted dock and wall fender designed for heavily used contact areas along docks, pontoons, landing stages and quay walls.

With dimensions of approximately 600 × 500 × 300 mm, the Wall-Performer provides a generous protective surface and substantial depth. Its multi-layer construction combines a pressure-resistant XPS core with different PE and PPI foam layers.

A distinctive feature is its walk-on construction. This makes the WP suitable for berths where the fender extends into the walking or working area of the dock.

Generous Protective Surface and 300 mm Depth

With a length of approximately 600 mm, a height of approximately 500 mm and a depth of approximately 300 mm, the WP 60-50-30 provides a large protective surface in a comparatively compact format.

The front surface of approximately 600 × 500 mm creates an extensive contact area for the boat hull. At the same time, the 300 mm depth provides substantial separation between the boat and the fixed berth structure.

The Wall-Performer is therefore particularly suitable for docks, pontoons and quay walls requiring a robust fender with substantial projection from the mounting surface.

Pressure-Resistant XPS Core and Multi-Layer Cushioning

The central element of the WP 60-50-30 is a pressure-resistant XPS core, combined with different foam layers to create the fender's multi-layer cushioning structure.

  • XPS core: pressure-resistant structural base of the fender
  • PE foam on the front: approximately 60 mm
  • PE foam on the sides: approximately 30 mm on each side
  • PPI foam: approximately 10 mm on the front and top surfaces

The different materials perform specific functions within the Wall-Performer construction.

The XPS core forms the pressure-resistant base. The additional PE and PPI foam layers provide cushioning in the immediate contact areas and complete the multi-layer design.

Walk-On Construction for Dock and Working Areas

The seaEQ Wall-Performer WP 60-50-30 is designed with a walk-on upper surface.

This is particularly beneficial on narrow docks or in working areas where the fender projects into the usable dock space.

The actual load-bearing capacity of the installed Wall-Performer depends significantly on the installation conditions, the supporting structure and the selected fastening system.

For this reason, no general load rating is specified for the complete installed system. Suitability for the intended use must be assessed according to the individual installation conditions.

Heavy-Duty Outer Cover Made from VALMEX® 7311

The outer cover of the WP 60-50-30 is manufactured from VALMEX® 7311, a technical material with a polyester base fabric and an overall weight of approximately 1450 g/m².

This heavy-duty technical fabric forms a robust protective outer layer designed for long-term use in marine berthing environments.

Technical Properties of the Outer Cover

  • Material: VALMEX® 7311
  • Total weight: 1450 g/m² according to EN ISO 2286-2
  • Tensile strength, warp/weft: 3000 / 3000 N/50 mm according to EN ISO 1421/V1
  • Tear resistance, warp/weft: 250 / 250 N according to DIN 53363
  • Base fabric: PES 1100 dtex, plain weave L 1/1, according to ISO 2076 / ISO 2060
  • Adhesion strength: 20 N/cm according to PA 09.03 (internal method)
  • Flex resistance: 100,000 flex cycles without cracking according to DIN 53359 A
  • Temperature resistance: −30 °C to +70 °C according to EN 1876-1 / PA 07.04
  • Colour fastness to light: > 6 according to EN ISO 105-B02

Stable PE Backing Plate

On the mounting side, the WP 60-50-30 features a stable backing plate made from polyethylene (PE), approximately 2 mm thick.

The backing plate forms the rear structural base of the fender and supports the broad-area connection between the Wall-Performer and the berth structure.

Permanent Installation on Docks, Pontoons and Quay Walls

The seaEQ Wall-Performer WP 60-50-30 is mounted directly onto a suitable dock, pontoon, landing stage or quay wall structure.

Two integrated mounting elements are provided:

  • A pre-drilled mounting rail along the top
  • Four fold-out mounting tabs on the rear

These components allow the Wall-Performer to be securely fastened to the respective berth structure using screws or suitable mechanical fasteners.

The choice of screws and other fastening components depends on the supporting material and the requirements of the individual installation.

Mounting hardware is not included in the scope of delivery.
