Fender Protection Mat FPM XL – Extra-Wide Hull Protection against Chafing

Additional coverage for increased protection requirements

The seaEQ Fender-Protection-Mat FPM XL provides additional coverage for boat areas with increased protection requirements. It was specifically developed for larger boats, high freeboards or wide fender zones and reliably protects the hull from chafing and scratches caused by moving boat fenders during wind, waves or extended mooring periods.

Alternative for boats with standard freeboard

For boats with a standard freeboard, the FPM with standard coverage is a more compact alternative.

Use between boat fender and hull

Like the FPM, the FPM XL is positioned between a classic boat fender and the boat hull. Its increased height covers an extended contact area and makes it particularly suitable for yachts, boats with high freeboard or changing fender positions.

Smooth outer surface and grip-safe hull side

The outer surface is made of an extremely smooth polyester fabric that allows boat fenders to glide easily. The hull-facing side is polyurethane-coated and adheres to the boat under light pressure. This keeps the protection mat securely in position and effectively reduces friction.

Damping effect and functional differentiation

A 4 mm cell rubber core provides light cushioning and protective damping. The FPM XL is not a replacement for a boat fender, but a targeted protective addition for boats that remain alongside a dock, pilings or rafted up for extended periods.

For long, continuous contact zones during side-to-side mooring, the Langfender Series (LF Series) is a suitable complementary solution.

Safe construction without metal components

The entire construction is reinforced with stitched PP webbing. All attachment eyelets are securely sewn in place – without any metal parts. This prevents additional scratching risks and ensures safe, flexible handling.

Handling and flexible use

Despite its size, the Fender-Protection-Mat FPM XL can be easily rolled or folded and stored in a space-saving manner. It can also be used as wind or contact protection when required.
