seaEQ Dock Fender DF B 110/20: Heavy-Duty Boat Fender Protection
The seaEQ Dock Fender (DF B 110/20) is the powerhouse of the DF series. Originally developed as a bow fender for frontal docking, it has long established itself as a massive reinforced fender for heavily used berths.
With a length of 1.10 meters and an enormous thickness of 90 mm, it offers safety reserves where normal dock fenders fail. It is the first choice for slips where the bow often touches, or for side areas that have to withstand extreme pressure.
Dual Function for Maximum Safety
- As Bow Fender: Perfectly placed at the head of the dock. It gently intercepts the bow during docking and lets it glide instead of stopping it abruptly.
- As Heavy-Duty Fender: Thanks to the integrated 50 mm XPS sub-structure (extruded polystyrene foam), this fender withstands a pressure of up to 30 tons/m². Ideal for larger yachts or choppy harbors.
- Gliding Technology: Like all DF models, the surface prevents the boat from "sticking". Maneuverability is maintained.
- Massive Cushioning: The multi-layer construction reliably swallows hard impacts.
- Made in Germany: Robustly sewn, UV-stable, and ready for mounting.
Technical Data & Dimensions
Please note the backplate dimensions when planning installation:
- Damper Dimensions: approx. 1100 x 200 x 90 mm (Length x Height x Thickness).
- Mounting Plate Dimensions: approx. 1165 x 265 mm (Overhang for screwing).
- Core Construction: PE foam (cushioning) + XPS core (load distribution).
- Fastening: The screw points are elegantly covered by Velcro flaps.
FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about the DF B 110/20
Why is this fender so much thicker (90mm)?
The 90mm thickness results from the additional XPS core. This ensures extreme load capacity of 30t/m² and offers more crumple zone for frontal impacts with the bow.
Can I mount it sideways on the dock?
Absolutely. Many customers use it as a lateral "main fender" at the spot where the hull has contact most frequently, and supplement it before and after with the flatter standard models.
Is mounting material included?
No, because every dock (wood, concrete, grating) requires different screws. However, we offer suitable mounting kits as accessories.
