Which Fender Protection Mat is the right choice?

The FPM and the FPM XL use the same materials.
The difference is the coverage area and height.

FPM – Standard coverage

For boats with standard freeboard.

Protection area: 2000 × 500 mm.

Ideal with evenly positioned fenders.

Compact and easy to store.

FPM XL – Extended coverage

For larger boats or high freeboards.

Protection area: 2000 × 700 mm.

Extra reserve for moving fenders.

Ideal for long-term berthing.

between the fender and the boat hull.

The seaEQ Fender Protection Mat FPM XL provides extended coverage for areas of the hull exposed to increased wear. It is designed for larger boats, high freeboards and wide fender zones, offering reliable protection against chafing and scratches caused by moving fenders during wind, swell or long periods alongside docks.

For boats with standard freeboard, the FPM with standard coverage is a more compact alternative.

Like the standard FPM, the FPM XL is installed between a conventional fender and the hull. Its increased height covers a larger contact area and is ideal for yachts or situations where fenders tend to move vertically.

The outer surface is made of an extremely smooth polyester fabric, allowing fenders to glide easily. The hull-facing side is polyurethane-coated and gently adheres to the hull under light pressure, keeping the mat securely in place and preventing chafing movements.

A 4 mm cellular rubber core provides light cushioning. The FPM XL is not a replacement for a fender, but a protective add-on for boats lying alongside docks, pilings or other vessels for extended periods.

The mat is fully reinforced with PP webbing and features securely stitched attachment loops – without any metal parts. It can be rolled or folded for compact storage and may also be used as wind or contact protection when required.
