The seaEQ Piling Fender PF 25/80 protects the boat's hull from direct contact with mooring pilings when entering or leaving a berth and while moored.

Unlike a conventional boat fender, the PF is attached directly to the piling. This places the protective surface exactly where contact between the boat and the piling is likely to occur during mooring manoeuvres.

With its slim and tall protective surface of approximately 250 × 800 mm, the PF 25/80 is particularly suitable for smaller pilings, restricted mounting widths and berths with significant changes in water level.

The decisive difference compared with rigid protection systems is the seaEQ Sliding Principle.

During sideways contact, the boat is not abruptly stopped against the piling. Instead, the hull can slide along the surface of the piling fender, allowing the boat to remain manoeuvrable throughout the manoeuvre.

This is particularly beneficial when entering a marina berth: Contact with a piling does not suddenly interrupt the manoeuvre but allows the boat to continue moving in a more controlled manner.

Slim Protective Surface with a Height of 800 mm

With a width of approximately 250 mm, the PF 25/80 is the narrowest model in the seaEQ PF range.

Its slim design allows installation on smaller pilings or where only limited mounting space is available. At the same time, its height of 800 mm provides a large vertical contact area.

This is particularly advantageous at berths with changing water levels or varying heights between the boat's hull and the piling.

Because the PF 25/80 is mounted directly on the piling, there is no need to position a loose boat fender between the hull and the piling when approaching the berth.

The piling fender remains at the berth and protects the contact area whether the boat moves forwards or backwards alongside the piling during mooring manoeuvres.

The PF 25/80 is attached directly to the piling using the appropriate seaEQ PFS tensioning strap system. No drilling, screws or permanent modifications to the piling are required.

Three PF Sizes for Different Mooring Situations

The seaEQ PF range is available in three sizes. The most suitable model depends on the piling dimensions, expected water level changes and the individual conditions at the berth.

Durable Construction for Marine Use

The outer surface of the PF 25/80 is made from high-strength polyester fabric with a PVC coating. The material has a tested lightfastness rating of ≥ 5 according to DIN EN ISO 105-B02.

A specially designed PE foam core provides cushioning in the contact area. The piling fender is reinforced with durable polypropylene (PP) webbing, which is securely sewn into the construction.

The tensioning straps of the PFS system are guided and tightened using PET rods. This allows the entire system to be constructed without metal components.

No Metal Components in the PF Fender System

The seaEQ PF fender systems contain no metal components. This means there are no hard metal fastening parts in the fender system that could damage the boat's hull during contact.

The PFS tensioning strap system included in the delivery is also entirely metal-free.

Care and Storage

The PF 25/80 is designed for regular outdoor use. As with other textile materials, prolonged and intensive exposure to sunlight may gradually affect the colour intensity.

To preserve the colour for as long as possible, we recommend cleaning the piling fender and storing it away from continuous sunlight when it is not in use during the off-season.
