seaEQ HLT MULTI – Four Hook-and-Loop Straps, Four Different Lengths

The seaEQ HLT MULTI is the mixed-length pack in the seaEQ HLT range. It contains four reusable hook-and-loop straps in different lengths for quickly bundling, securing and holding together sails, ropes and equipment on board.

The main advantage: All four lengths of the HLT range in one pack – from the compact 500 mm version to the extra-long 1500 mm strap.

The pack contains:

  • 1 × HLT 500: approx. 500 × 40 mm
  • 1 × HLT 850: approx. 850 × 40 mm
  • 1 × HLT 1200: approx. 1200 × 40 mm
  • 1 × HLT 1500: approx. 1500 × 40 mm

With four different strap lengths available in one pack, the HLT MULTI provides a flexible choice for different bundle sizes, circumferences and applications on board.

All four straps are approximately 40 mm wide, manufactured in fluorescent orange and designed for repeated use.

Sail Ties for Mainsails and Headsails

The seaEQ HLT hook-and-loop straps are particularly suitable as reusable sail ties for mainsails and headsails.

After lowering a sail, the sailcloth can be gathered into a compact bundle and secured, for example along the boom.

As the circumference of a gathered sail may vary along its length, the four different straps in the HLT MULTI pack provide flexible options for bundling and securing the sailcloth.

The shorter straps are particularly suitable for smaller sail bundles, while the longer versions can be used where a larger circumference requires additional length.

The straps also provide a practical solution for bundling and securing headsails and other suitable textile equipment.

Versatile Applications on Board

In addition to their use as sail ties, the seaEQ HLT straps can be used wherever suitable items need to be temporarily bundled or held together.

Typical applications include:

  • Mainsails and headsails
  • Sailcloth and sail bags
  • Ropes, lines and sheets
  • Equipment on deck and below deck
  • Luggage and bags
  • Other suitable loose items on board

With four different lengths available, users can select a suitable strap for different bundle sizes and circumferences.

The hook-and-loop fastening can be opened and closed repeatedly. This makes the HLT MULTI particularly useful for applications where equipment needs to be secured, released and secured again on a regular basis.

Four Lengths – Flexible for Different Circumferences

The key advantage of the seaEQ HLT MULTI pack is the combination of all four available HLT lengths.

  • HLT 500 – 50 cm: The shortest version, particularly suitable for smaller bundles and circumferences.
  • HLT 850 – 85 cm: A practical intermediate length for a variety of applications on board.
  • HLT 1200 – 120 cm: For larger bundles and applications requiring additional fastening length.
  • HLT 1500 – 150 cm: The longest version in the HLT range, suitable for particularly large bundles and circumferences.

The different lengths can be compared directly and selected according to the intended application.

The MULTI pack is also a practical way to try all four lengths of the seaEQ HLT range before choosing a pack of straps in a single length.

Hook-and-Loop Fastening – Quick to Close and Easy to Release

The seaEQ HLT straps combine hook-and-loop fastening surfaces to hold sails and other suitable items together.

To secure an item, the strap is wrapped around the material and fastened by pressing the hook and loop surfaces together.

To release it, the connected surfaces are simply pulled apart. The strap can then be used again.

No additional knots are required.

This straightforward fastening method is particularly practical for frequently repeated tasks on board.

Robust Stitched Construction

The hook-and-loop material is stitched along its edges using heavy-duty polyester thread.

The ends are additionally secured with three rows of stitching, creating robust, reusable fastening straps designed for regular use on board.

All four versions are approximately 40 mm wide and manufactured using the same stitching method.

The seaEQ HLT straps are assembled and stitched at the seaEQ workshop in Germany.

Fluorescent Orange – Highly Visible and Easy to Find

All four straps in the HLT MULTI pack are manufactured in fluorescent orange.

The distinctive colour makes the straps easier to spot and find on board. This is particularly useful when they are temporarily put aside after opening or placed among other equipment.

Colour information: Fluorescent pigments generally have lower lightfastness than conventional colours. Prolonged and intensive exposure to UV radiation may cause the colour intensity or fluorescent effect to fade over time.

Such colour changes do not affect the function of the HLT straps.

HLT MULTI or Four Straps of the Same Length?

The seaEQ HLT range offers two ways to choose suitable hook-and-loop sail ties.

The individual versions HLT 500, HLT 850, HLT 1200 and HLT 1500 are each supplied in packs containing four straps of the same length.

The HLT MULTI pack, on the other hand, contains four different lengths – one strap of each available version.

If the same strap length is regularly required, one of the individual packs may be the better choice. For different circumferences or for trying several lengths, the HLT MULTI provides a flexible alternative.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About the seaEQ HLT MULTI

What is included in the seaEQ HLT MULTI pack?

The HLT MULTI pack contains four hook-and-loop straps in different lengths: 1 × HLT 500, 1 × HLT 850, 1 × HLT 1200 and 1 × HLT 1500. All straps are approximately 40 mm wide and manufactured in fluorescent orange.

What can I use the HLT MULTI pack for?

The straps are suitable for bundling and securing sails, ropes, lines and equipment on board. The pack is particularly practical as a set of reusable sail ties for mainsails and headsails.

Why does the MULTI pack contain different lengths?

Different sails, ropes and equipment may require different strap lengths. The MULTI pack combines all four sizes in the HLT range, allowing flexible use with different bundle sizes and circumferences.

Which strap length is suitable for which application?

The appropriate length depends on the circumference of the item to be bundled. The HLT 500 is particularly suitable for smaller bundles. The longer HLT 850, HLT 1200 and HLT 1500 versions provide additional length for larger circumferences.

What is the difference between HLT MULTI and the other HLT packs?

The individual HLT 500, HLT 850, HLT 1200 and HLT 1500 packs each contain four straps of the same length. The HLT MULTI pack contains one strap of each of the four available lengths.

Can the HLT straps be reused?

Yes. The hook-and-loop fastening can be opened and closed repeatedly. This makes the straps suitable for applications where items need to be bundled, released and secured again regularly.

Why are the HLT straps fluorescent orange?

Fluorescent orange provides a highly visible colour that makes the straps easier to identify and find on board. This is particularly practical when they are temporarily put aside after opening.

Can fluorescent orange fade in sunlight?

Yes. Fluorescent pigments generally have lower lightfastness than conventional colours. Prolonged and intensive exposure to UV radiation may gradually reduce the colour intensity or fluorescent effect. This does not affect the function of the HLT straps.

How are the HLT straps constructed?

The hook-and-loop material is stitched along its edges using heavy-duty polyester thread. The ends are reinforced with three rows of stitching. The seaEQ HLT straps are assembled and stitched in Germany.

How wide are the straps in the HLT MULTI pack?

All four straps in the HLT MULTI pack are approximately 40 mm wide. They differ only in length, measuring approximately 500, 850, 1200 and 1500 mm.
